Job Description:

 

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the design and development of our products. This role is a key strategic position responsible for the success of the product in the field. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, Engineering, sales, customers, and all levels throughout the organization; requiring strong communication and influencing skills and providing subject matter expertise in complex situations. This individual will be involved in new product development, identifying market opportunities, managing all aspects of product launch activities, maximizing sales revenues, market share and profit margins for the product portfolio.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write Marketing & product requirements documents (MRD/PRD) that enable the company to deliver leadership products.
  • Work closely with Sr. Executive Management to develop clear forward-looking product strategies.
  • Have strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of the P&L to develop strategies and programs to drive increases in revenue and profits.
  • Develop forecasts, analyze current volumes and predict future volumes and trends of LifeProof products.
  • Collect, analyze and respond to product feature requests for existing and new products.
  • Develop and manage product pricing and pricing strategy.
  • Prepare positioning and selling strategies.
  • Provide sales support by demonstrating LifeProof systems to key customers on-site or at home office.
  • Participate in customer visits, sales calls, tradeshows and conferences.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing Communications to create effective educational, promotional and training programs.
  • Identify new product ideas and improvements for the product line, build the appropriate business case to justify the investment, and manage the process to gain approval for project funding.
  • Deliver both internal and external presentations on status and future strategies for the product.
  • Work with Marcomm to develop marketing/sales/press materials, etc.
  • Manage/drive product launch activities.
  • Develop product transition and end-of-life strategies.

  • Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with customer and peers.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of company business to determine and deliver products and releases with high impact to revenue and income goals.
  • A self-starter who is able to work independently.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills essential for delivering results in a multi-company, multi-product environment.

Training and Experience

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in product marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business with an MBA preferred.
  • Life cycle product management with responsibility for P&L of product line.
  • Understanding of consumer market and familiar with different distribution models
